Alliances & Joint Ventures
Given the rapid expansion in the construction industry and the significant increase in spending in Ireland as a whole during the past decade, the practice has created strategic alliances to enhance and complement in-house skills and resources.
The practice has two formal alliances:
- Halcrow Barry Limited specialising primarily in the Transportation Sector - a 50/50 owned joint venture practice with the Halcrow Group, taken over by CH2M Hill - the global Consulting Engineering practice, which has approximately 30,000 employees.
- BeMRA with Varming Consulting Engineers, another Irish based Consulting Engineering company specialising primarily in large scale Industrial projects.
J. B. Barry and Partners Limited have a number of other alliances which enable the practice to offer a comprehensive service to the water sector here in Ireland:
- Royal Haskoning (The Netherlands): This company, with 4,300 employees worldwide, brings significant expertise and knowledge of processes in the water and wastewater areas. Agreements are put in place for each project.
- CDM (Camp Dresser McKee): Boston based, this US company has over 4,000 employees worldwide. The two companies are working together on a number of wastewater related projects in the Greater Dublin Area in Ireland.
Forming and maintaining these alliances enables J. B. Barry and Partners Limited to offer complete consultancy services to clients here in Ireland. Our access to and utilisation of UK, US and European expertise, experience and resources has important benefits for the Irish water sector.
