J. B. Barry and Partners Limited have added a new Safety & Health Consultancy Service to our existing range of Engineering, Design and Consulting Services. The firm now offer the following Safety & Health Services:

  • Advice on responsibilities in relation to the Construction Regulations 2006
  • Assistance with competence assessments and the allocation of adequate resources for appointing for the roles of PSDP / PSCS
  • Taking account of the general Principles of Prevention for Architects, M&E, specialist and other designers through Design Risk Assessment
  • Undertaking the role of Project Supervisor for the Design Process
  • Preparation of the Preliminary Safety and Health Plan & Preparation of the Safety File


Safety & Health Manager

Seamus Donaghy The practice's Safety & Health Manager, Seamus Donaghy, is an Associate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, which is the primary European organisation for Safety & Health Professionals.

Seamus has over 23 years experience in the construction industry in both design and contracting with 11 of those years specialising in construction and Safety & Health Management. Seamus has worked on a wide variety of projects including waste water and water infrastructure which included pipe-jacking and tunnelling, road and rail infrastructure which included large diameter tunnelling, nuclear and combined cycle gas turbine power generation plants, airport, port and marine works, demolition and the construction of steel frame and reinforced concrete building structures.
