Kildare Water Strategy - Phase 1A & B
Client: Kildare County Council
Project Value: €20 million (estimated), in four contract packages.
Services Provided: Preliminary Report, EPANET Modelling, Route Selection, Detailed Design, preparation of Tender and Contract Documents, Project Management and Construction Supervision.
Key Features: This project arises out of a major evaluation study of the water requirements in County Kildare, carried out in 1999. Watermain & Storage:
- 45Km of trunk watermain in sizes up to 700mm dia.
- New 7, 500m3 capacity reservoir at Ardscull
The four contracts are:
Contract 1 - Ballymore Eustace WTW to Naas
Contract 2 - Ballymore Eustace to Old Kilcullen reservoir
Contract 3a - Old Kilcullen reservoir to proposed Ardscull reservoir
Contract 3b - Ardscull reservoir to Athy (including the reservoir)
This project is a Joint venture with the Halcrow Group
