The project involved the Engineering Study of the existing Waste & Storm Water Collection Systems for the city of Rafah (design population of 240,000), in the Gaza Strip, which has a combination of combined and partially separate systems, and has minimal sewerage treatment facilities.

This was followed up by Detailed Design and preparation of Tender Documentation for the implementation of a new scheme including:

  • Instructions to Tenderers;
  • Technical Specifications;
  • Conditions of Contract;
  • Detailed Drawings;
  • Bills of Quantities; and
  • Forms of tender & Appendices thereto
  • Liaison with and reporting to the Client (European Union Delegation) and the End Beneficiary – Municipality of Rafah and its Project Implementation Unit.
