The Project: Ringsend WwTP We are currently hiring experienced Resident Engineering Site Staff for the Ringsend Waste Water Treatment Plant (WwTP) Capacity Upgrade Project. This project provides for the design and construction of a new expansion to the existing Ringsend WwTP, which serves much of Dublin City and its environs. The new expansion, currently being constructed by the Contractor shall (following commissioning) treat settled wastewater arising at the Ringsend plant to a tertiary standard using a patented process.

The existing wastewater treatment plant at Ringsend was completed in 2003 and provides for treatment of the wastewater to a secondary standard for a nominal/design load of 1.64 Million Population Equivalent (PE). The expanded plant will provide for treatment of the wastewater to a secondary standard for a nominal/design load of 2.4 Million Population Equivalent (PE).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Have detailed experience in the management /administration electrical engineering works including water / wastewater treatment plant work sites as well as examination of contractor’s design and build submissions and in the programming of the works and in the development and implementation works instructions to the contractor
  • Hold an honours degree (level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications), or equivalent professional qualification, in engineering;
  • Have at least 20 years’ post graduate relevant experience with at least 15 years’ relevant experience in the delivery of major Civil and / or Mechanical Engineering Infrastructure Works. The candidates should have experience administering contracts using both the Public Works & FIDIC Contracts. The candidates should have a good knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
